Clark Pinnacle Raises $114,000 for Fort Belvoir Youth Sports and Army Emergency Relief with Second Annual Charity Golf Classic
FORT BELVOIR, VA. - At its Second Annual Charity Golf
Classic on August 31, Clark Pinnacle Family Communities
raised $114,000, which was split between Fort
Belvoir Youth Sports and the Army Emergency Relief
(AER) of Fort Belvoir, with each group receiving
$57,000 each.

More than 130 golfers participated in the four-person
scramble at the Fort Belvoir Golf Club, including
representatives from Clark Pinnacle, the Army
Residential Communities Initiative office, and
the many consulting and subcontracting firms working
on the housing revitalization efforts at Fort
Belvoir.
“This
[money] comes at a great time,” said Jerry
Arrington, director of the Fort Belvoir Youth
Sports program. “We’re at a time where
we’ve run out of money and can’t spend
any more until the next fiscal year [which begins
Oct. 1], so this will really help us get the football
program started.”
“It is the support of caring people and
organizations like Clark Pinnacle that ensures
our important mission will continue,” said
Juanita McKeown, AER officer. “In its 63
years of service, the Army Emergency Relief, through
its hard work and generosity, has helped more
than 3 million people.”
Clark Pinnacle is working in unison with Fort
Belvoir and the Department of the Army to design,
construct, and operate military family housing
communities at Fort Belvoir. Clark Pinnacle is
a joint venture between Clark Realty Capital,
an award-winning real estate development and construction
firm in Bethesda, Md., and Pinnacle, American
Management Services Company, of Seattle.
“We are thrilled by the outpouring of support
and generosity at this year’s event,”
said Casey Nolan, development executive for Clark
Realty Capital. “And at a time when our
troops are sacrificing so much for all of us,
we are thankful for the opportunity to give back
to the community by supporting the great work
of AER and Fort Belvoir Youth Sports.”
